TWYNETTE SOLOMON
PRESIDENT

Twynette Solomon, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, has dedicated over 15 years to serving the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex community. As a Fort Worth Metropolitan YMCA board member and an integral member of the organization's philanthropy committee, Solomon has demonstrated her commitment to improving the lives of those around her.

Solomon has faced her share of challenges and setbacks and understands many women’s struggles. Her journey has fueled her passion to empower and support other women in overcoming their obstacles. Through her involvement in various initiatives, Solomon has assisted numerous women in the homeless community in their efforts to rebuild and improve their lives.

Driven by her heart, passion, dedication, and unwavering loyalty, Solomon's desire to inspire others to reach their full potential led her to establish Making of The Pearl Women's Ministry. Inspired by a Miles Monroe sermon about the pearl’s value, this 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is dedicated to restoring women who have endured abuse and trauma and transforming them into resilient pearls.

Solomon's vision for Making of The Pearl Women's Ministry embodies her belief in every woman's inherent strength and potential, regardless of past experiences. Through her leadership and dedication, she continues to uplift and empower women to emerge from their trials as shining pearls of resilience and strength.

In May 2024, Solomon received the Birdville ISD Helping Hands Award for staff and is confirmed as a speaker at the 2024 Birdville ISD Transportation Inservice. Her hobbies include bowling, outreach, and traveling. She also sponsors a child in Honduras through her church, Hillside Community Church, and is a recognized “accident-free” bus driver for local school districts. Additionally, she is the mother of five children who  believes that structure in the home contributes to family cohesion.

Solomon has been running her business, Tweets Treats, for 10 years. She serves edible arrangements with decorative tablescapes if requested. She has developed the perfect caramel recipe that doesn’t stick to your teeth.

In five years, she envisions her non-profit organization, Making of the Pearl Foundation, owning property to serve women seeking renewal. In ten years, she aims to have multiple properties, perhaps in numerous states, to house and support women in need.
